Pay attention to the various interviews & discussions going on about the Chris Dorner case...
The version of some folks' reality within certain communities is absolutely mind boggling. The ethnic communities (Hispanic & Blaek, where I happen to reside) seem to still carry an enormous amount of skepticism, cynicism, & distrust for Law Enforcement, & Caucasians in general.... As Cynical as I can be about the differences in our varying cultures, even I am mystified at how so many in the Black & Hispanic communities choose to take the position that this murderer was somehow "set-up" or framed.... I even have an employee (blaek) that was livid that the "po-lease" didn't read Dorner his Miranda Rights, or give him a chance to come out with his hands up in yesterdays meltdown....Another person said the Police should have gotten a court order before they moved in yesterday...?????... Irrational/Illogical thinking like this seems to be rampant throughout the ethnic communities when it comes to topics like this..... My question is WHY ??? .. Is it a by-product of the way people are raised in these communities (never to trust the man)?...Is it a by-product of growing up being led to feel that they're a lifelong victim??.... Is it a inherent desire to retain solidarity with your "brutha's & sista's" ?? .... I simply cant believe that their intelligence levels are so diminished that they'd truly believe the absurdities that so many are spewing....... So, why DO so many in these particular communities continue to espouse such militant & wholly irrational beliefs?? .. Clearly they MUST comprehend that no one in the rest of the civilized World will ever take them seriously as long as they continue to exhibit such irrational behavior.
.... What would have to occur for this to change?
