Saw a commercial for a movie about the Lincoln assassination, it's going to premier this Sunday on National Geographic Channel. It's their first attempt at a scripted drama..and Tom hanks does the narration...sounds pretty cool.

Define "tons".

Let's get this straight. From what I could tell a few Lincoln based tourist sites are opting not to carry the book in their gift shops based upon 4 mistakes...which have since been corrected. However, the Lincoln Presidential Library in Illinois is selling it and looking to have BOR come do a book signing. Doesn't sound like he created it out of whole cloth to me.

so did anybody watch this last night? I felt it was a little rushed...they didn't really go into details about the plot about how he had access to the presidential box etc. etc. The guy who played Wilkes Booth was a little over dramatic in his acting as well...but it wasn't bad..pretty entertaining.

Definitely. Lincoln shit all over the Constitution but Spielberg conveniently omitted all that. Spielberg also made the movie all about slavery which wasn't a huge priority for Lincoln at all. Revisionist history.
