The real reason why Gary don't book guests...

Gary's job is easy. He works 102 days a year/5 hours a day. He openly say that he don't book guests. Guests have to contact Gary to be booked.

The reason is agents and their crazy demands. Just to ask an agency for an interview is 10000dollar. "Don't contact us if you cant at least pay 10000 dollars"

One example: Howie Mandel's agent Richard Del La Font agency.

The Agents are crazy. The website is crazy. Why should they get 10000 dollars just to ask their talent if they want to do an interview? This is also how shows can say that they don't pay for the interview. They pay the agent a "finders" fee.

BTW. Look at the page if you want to hire a talent for one gig. "Minimum 500000 dollars"

You're putting WAY too much thought into this.
The answer is very simple -Gary is lazy.
My comments are based on my opinion only.

    Even simpler. No opposable thumbs.

It's embarrassing to the show for people to reject them so they don't ask.

I felt this way for years - every time Booey said "he doesn't call, they call him to be booked" that's what I heard.

What's the attraction for a guest to come on to a mess of a show with less listeners than Imus and many podcasts to be interviewed by a distracted, unprepared host who's going to interrupt every minute with cock questions.?

The Howard Stern show has become a PC morning zoo with no budget and no talent doing an impression of the old Howard Stern Show.

Gary should be replaced by some software that lets the guests book themselves. Howard can just delete anyone he doesn't like and no more double booking. You could hook it up that any blank slots automatically get filled with popular youtube videos.

Seriously...just open up a google doc and let the publicists fill in the time slots.

If you remember that one contest they did because the guests became so embarrassing D-list called "OUT BOOK GARY"? I think Jason managed to snag Marisa Tomei and Dustin Hoffman in the same week where they hadn't sniffed the show on Gary's lazy arrogant watch.

One of the shitty trUTHSSZZZ is Gary is an extension of Howard' s laziness and out of touch taste in what a good guest and a relevant celebrity is. Howard's knee-jerk retard response when a cool guest is pitched is this..."AHHHH I DON'T KNOW, WHAT AM I GONNA TALK TO GEORGE CARLIN ABOUT??" ANYTHING, you fuckface dirty-old-man pelican dullard!!! He's GEORGE FUCKING CARLIN....his whole career is based on talking about ANYTHING!!!!!

George Carlin called the office once himself to get on the show. Gary turned him down. Pathetic. Carlin went on O&A instead. True story. Then Carlin died a few months later.

I remember that well! It was fucking embarrassing new low for them and me as a 20 year+ listener. When they tried to phony-bologna eulogize him when he passed they acted like they had some influence on his career to try and save face.

That was TRULY one of the breaking points with me on Wigward's extreme faggotry and the show in terms of becoming a pragmatic hater.

That's the thing, even when there is other potential guests (other than usual, Joan Rivers, Jesse Ventura, etc.) that have wanted to come on but they turn them down. It was known that Seth MacFarlane had wanted to come in earlier but Howard resisted that and only reluctantly had him on later on. Hell even Artie wants to come back on for an interview at least and they reject him.

When Donald Trump went on the news the other day regarding his law suit with Bill Mahr, Howard said Robin why don't we get the exclusive Donald hasn't called in for awhile. Then a few days later, when Howard interviews him, Donald said I haven't been on because no one has called me. What do you expect for me to call here and ask to be on?

Pretty simple why they don't book decent guests. They are not putting out the effort to get them.

You were on a roll until you mentioned Lardie...he has one foot in the grave and the other on a devil dog. Waking up before noon might kill him off at this point.

Hence why every dopey lemming with a subscription stupid enough to PAY for this shit should be canceling in droves.

Good catch, I remember fixating on that too. Trump blew up Howard's "loves not to know" spot, and horseshit guest techniques in one fell swoop. I would've loved to see the staff (like Jason) give Gary the stink-eye in embarrassment in the back office.
