I just read that Elliot OFFen was suing because he feels Robin just copied his manuscript.

That's because she can't smile. She such a broken human that she has no ability to smile naturally and has to contort her face like that in an effort to hold a 'smile'. It's really more of a grimace.

YES! You got it - it's like she pulls up one side of her mouth, to show her teeth, which pulls up one side of her nose..... which contorts her whole face.
