yes, Internet and video games have made people dumberer

Video games yes... The internet is a hard one but I know where you are coming from... I think it's a double edged sword the internet is killing real life socializing but on the other hand you have all the knowledge at your finger tips

I don't think schools are challenging kids as much as they used to. For one thing, they all teach to pass their states tests rather than for the kids to learn.

Good point... as a foreigner myself I find myself knowing more about American history, Politics and most things about America then most people born here and I have only been here 22 years

The average IQ is supposed to be increasing every generation. Opportunities to learn things are much more abundant now than they used to be. Educational TV on cable and the WWW are 2 things I wish were around when I was a kid. I might actually be tired of porn by now if they were....

The space program was invented by people with slide rulers and paper now we have computers.

The same potential is there, but no one challenges kids today... The parents couldn't give two shits about their education... The School systems are mired in inefficiency, teachers who are only there to collect their over-inflated paychecks, and kids who are allowed to be lazy (because everyone's too afraid to hold their ass to the fire)....

I wish, so I can deal with people much better but people today are getting stupider. Dumb you can deal with (a little) stupidity is much harder to deal with.
