Now he's claiming he had too much fluffernutter and chocolate milk. The old "Too much Hawaiian Punch" routine..he pulled on Howard.

He's gonna blow the sweetest gig ever, and send poor Bocchetti back to the poor house, and Falato & twins back to chi town. It's obvious Ken Kohl's already taken note of the "lethargic behavior" last night. He's way worse tonite..

Last 10 minutes, he says "now it's food poisoning-something BAD's going on"
Anyone wanna start taking bets he calls out sick tomorrow night?

Yeah I'm thinking the show might be over any day now. It's a shame...I liked N&A better but just Artie could be entertaining at times too. Now it looks like there will be nothing unless something drastic happens. I don't think DirecTV can allow a guy on tv to represent their network who can't keep his eyes open and is barely conscious.

That's why I think it's def prescription drugs and not heroin, they gotta be piss testing him with his history. The only legal way around that is pain meds for his "bad back". Don't forget he had "jelly on the nerves"..

Wow, he was bombed out of his mind for that last hour. It was undeniable. I had to cut it off with 7 mins to go because of how akward it was. I could tell that he was fully aware that he was completely unable to quit stumbling over himself and form coherent sentences. I felt very akward and anxious for everyone in that room.

I wonder how he misjudged what he was dosing himself to the point that he made himself retarded like that. I think it was bad enough that he'll have to address it whenever he gets back to work. He might try the instant onset food poisoning bs, but it would sound extremely contrived.

I love Artie, and I do want him to succeed, but you didn't need to see him pretty much pass out at the end of the show on TV to know he was high as all hell as he's ever been on that show (at least that I've seen). It was so bad you could hear it through the radio. It was so uncomfortable to watch & listen too, that I had to turn it off. And while I doubt Ken Kohl watches every minuet of every show-you have to know he was watching tonight because Dice was on-probably one of the biggest guests the show has ever had. Artie can't hide behind anyone like he did on Stern and even to a degree with Nick when he was there. He is the show now. Oh my God that was brutal. I can only imagine what is running through The Twins, Dan, Shane, & Bochetti's mind right now.

One of two things will happen with tonight's show-
Either Artie will call in (because of food poisoning-which he "set up for" at the end of the show) or he'll be sober as a judge. I am so hoping for the later. I am also willing to bet that if Artie does call in-that's it for the show too. And if that happens-I seriously fear for Artie and what he may do.
I so hope I am wrong on everything I just said.

It really hurts me to admit this, but there's really something wrong.

Holy crap, it was like worse than watching Anna Nicole Smith on her E! show. I ff'ed to the last hour and I can't even watch, I was in denial before but I think it's over. Can't even open his eyes, I had no idea what he was saying 1/2 the time. Completely out of his feet during a live look in. I don't even know how they kept the show going. That was just sad.

They have to be drug testing him though no? I mean...it's Artie Lange we're talking about here...

It sounded like he had the same type of food poisoning that Riley Martin sometimes gets on his radio show.

What entertainers get drug tested? Its not like Artie works at Rite Aid or plays for the Mets. Even entertainers with drug problems dont get tested unless its by the courts.

The lifetime channel doesnt test Lohan. FX doesnt test Sheen. I doubt Artie gets tested for anything. He talked about his opiate use all the time on Stern and Sirius never had him submit. He would talk about taking voluntary UAs but it was just a bit.

I'm listening to the 1st show on 10/03/2011. wow, they both started off so good...they seemed to gel very well. I think once that familiarity and routine sets in, it unravels. Of course we get Nick's first "this is the world we live in...".

I really hope Artie can make it thru the contract.

Maybe change the show's format to a 30 minute variety show. 3 hours is too taxing.

But he could put all his energy into it and not blow his wad too early. You've seen what happened the last few shows. He is literally out on his feet at the end of the show.

Maybe just an hour show in late night talk show format. Start with a monologue ala Jay Leno at the beginning. Bocchetti would be his Andy Richter. Dan would be his Gelman. Go from there.

I usually get annoyed too, but did you see the last hour of the show last night? I'll have to upload some of it if not. During a live look in he was completely passed out while standing up but leaning on the kitchen counter. Marie and Mike and the other host were having a conversation and Artie was OUT.

Yikes. He was off from the start of the show ... third hour is rough. I don't wanna even bother checking out the video, audio is enough.
