Concussions are a dime a dozen when you raise kids. I think what bothers me the most is, another line Chayse told me he said was "if your mom can't or won't drive you to the hospital, give daddy or my wife a call and we'll do it"

Realistically, we all know that a concussion ends in a doctor saying this to you (after 6 hours in the waiting room) - "Yep, he got hit hard. Juggled his brains. Keep your eye on him and wake him up every hour."

That's it. That's what they fucking tell you to do. Unless there is broken eye vessels, or violent vomiting.

I know how to deal with concussions, because every time my kid gets one - I TAKE THEM TO THE FUCKING HOSPITAL. I don't drop them off somewhere and say "call me son, if your mom doesn't do what I should have".

I've debated for an hour whether to take him myself, but he was hit 3 hours ago now. He's coherent, but slow and garbled with his words. I'm checking on him every 20 minutes. He's in my bed with a bowl beside him....
