    most racial slurs sound bad, but spic is actually a cool sounding word

    if i were a mexican/hispanic, i'd own that word. i'd be all like "i'm not el salvadoran. i'm a spic." an i'd be proud about it. i mean, even just saying the word "jew," which isn't even a slur, sounds like it's an insult. but spic? awesome.
    you just don't turn it off.

    i didn't realize that spic was short for hispanic until a couple years ago. i knew it referred to spanish speakers but never made the connection. i'm kind of slow sometimes.
