I bought a rice cooker a while back. I always thought it was stupid, ya just need a pot of boiling water, right? But it's actually pretty dang cool, and you can steam stuff in it, too.

My gay asian friend bought me a hundred dollar rice cooker, I gave it away. It was cool but it took up so much room and didn't seem to be that different from just cooking it in a pot. Plus I rarely eat rice, he had it for dinner every night so for him it made sense.

Yeah you're right, but if you're cooking for a lot of people it's nice, and keeps it warm. I just paid like $20 for mine.

I like rice with tomato sauce,onions,celery,cheese,green peppers alll mixed together and eat that on toast it is soo good! I call it mexican rice

I like to saute' the rice in some butter, then put it in with tomato sauce, onions, cilantro and lime juice (and water). You can add other shit too if you're feelin' it.
