not really that shocking. if you would have asked me how old he was 5 minutes ago, I would have guessed 50.

Saw him play in Chapel hill in 1982. Sat in the student section with my then girlfriend. Will never forget that day.

I don't think so, Wilt or Jerry West were far more important.

Jordan was a great player, but he also brought back the self serving greedy player ethic. When he left the Bulls, he couldn't lead his team from last place. And as a front office leader, the media has been rather generous for not really reporting that he is a historic disaster and an abysmal failure.

Most NBA superstars are scum off the court, and that's certainly the case with Jordan. That whole thing that went down with his father being murdered seemed a little fishy. Then the "retirement", which I think was a suspension by the league for Jordan's gambling. I get the feeling he was into some pretty shady shit.

Nonetheless, I grew up watching the Celtics and Larry Bird, and I can easily say Jordan was the best ever

I can't stand this prick. He could literally hold the ball with both hands and walk down the court without dribbling and dare the refs to blow the whistle on him. He'd shove players around and never (or rarely) got a foul called. Mainly I'm just pissed that the fucker had to come back after he "retired" to play in the playoffs where he lead the Bulls to beat my Sonics in the Finals.

Coming on the heals of the Pete Rose M.L.B. firestorm, David Stern set this whole fake retirement on top bullshit in motion to cover his gambling, at that time Jordan thought he was untouchable and it turned out he was. His fame and legacy was protected.

I never saw a kid get shot wearing Chuck Taylors! Thanks MJ and Nike for inserting stupid violence into our society by the ways of a China man making 9 cents a hour on material possessions the cost over 200 bucks!

Take your ball, and your shoes, your underwear, your sports drink and go home!
