He knew the rules when he signed up. Stay 20 years, get full benefits for rest of his life. He left after 16 years. I applaud him for his service to this country. Wonder why he left 4 years shy of full retirement benefits?

Seems like from the reading that his body just can't go on any longer, a lot of these operators are torn up overtime and they physically can't perform anymore.

but he could have stayed in with a non-physical job. these guys are supposed to be elite and he shames them by talking to the press. it also seems kind of shitty that he plays up the fact that he's THE guy who killed bin laden when it took a team effort. every guy had a hand in it. if obl had been in a different room it would have been a different shooter.

Do you really think this way? That those of us that served are incapable of seeing the faults in our country?

I enlisted at a point in my young life when I was extremely patriotic.

I knew that I did not live in a utopia. I knew that dirty politics and war mongering was the backbone of my country. I wasn't under any delusions that I was going to save the world. I just knew that I loved my country. I loved how it was born in fire and rose above it to become the most powerful nation on Earth. I love that I have free speech and can tell the religious to go fuck themselves without fear of death for my apostasy. I love that I do not have to fear the government. I still have hope that my country will live for eons and be the best it can be. But I know power corrupts and countries die.

I didn't serve with any button pushing monkeys that thought they were serving the greater good. The people I served with knew the score.

Your kind of comment is just an armchair general/politician insult to those of us that did what we thought was right.

The government reportedly paid out $30 million for Hussien and his sons.

He needs an agent ASAP. The guy who shot OBL? He'd be the most famous in the world and should ca$$$h in on that (books, speaking engagements, TV talking head, etc). Believe me, he'll be able to afford health insurance.
