Great! The first black pope.
The first time he and Obumbo hook up it will probably sound like this:

I think they're gonna go old school and the next pope will be Italian. But I worship Satan, so what the fuck do I know?
Isn't there some kind of list or book that predicts who the future Popes will be? That way maybe we will know if our next Pope will Shine.
Howard is a Vomit.
That, to me, is the smart money. Sure, there are some wealthy, or up-and-coming, black Catholics in the US. Clarence Thomas types. Sure.
But Africans? Not so much.
But Hispanics, being a growing presence in the States, and many of them jumping ship to the Baptists (yes, down in Dixie, the Hispanics are actually joining Baptist churches. . . and Presby's, etc), and Latin America generally becoming relatively wealthy (Mexico is actually on the verge of emerging from third-world status), The Church would do well to select a Hispanic. A white Hispanic, preferably from the Western Hemisphere.
A Negro would only enrage the base.
Hell, a Negro may even piss off Clarence Thomas.
Whereas a white Hispanic could help stem the tide of US Hispanics leaving for the Protestant churches AND not piss off the base.
Because, really, who needs Africa? American Hispanics are on the rise, in number and economically.
Win-win.
Have derision, will travel
I'm still a practicing Catholic, and while I agree the religion is declining, I don't think it's going to disappear as "the old people die off". That said, people need to remember the Cardinals have been sequestered in academia/religious life for so long that they couldn't care less about who would best help the Church. They tend to vote based on popularity and thelogoical credibility, quite honestly. They should have nominated a Hispanic pope when JPII died, but Benedict was the heir apparent and they care more about paying your dues than what is the most logical choice.
EDIT: Also, just to clear it up, most Black Catholics live in Africa, not the U.S. There are some in the old Louisiana territory states, but the majority are recent African immigrants.

Sup mofuckas!!! Go da fuck home an say 20 Hail Marys ya sinful bitchass niggas!![]()

I'm not a Catholic, but I remember hearing a few times about a prediction about Popes and the end times. It was established that there will be only two more Popes after John Paul before the end. If this Pope is finished, the next Pope is the beginning of the end??
If I remember right, this might be related to the vision witnessed by the 3 kids and then an entire town in Western Europe almost 100 years ago. One of the kids went on to become a Nun and passed a letter to John Paul that he read when she died. It was suppose to contain some staggering stuff that no one would share?? Food for thought!
Edit: Here it is.

New Blaek Pope will change the Our Father prayer to Our Baby Daddy prayer.

How do you know what "all" the Catholics would be doing? I would have no problem if a Ghanan, Nigerian, Ethiopian, etc. Cardinal becomes the pope, and I doubt that all that many European and Asian Catholics would either. African Catholics have had to defend their faith against the onslaught of Islamic militants for centuries, even now Muslim Somalis are waging "holy war" against Christian Ethiopians. I would actually think it's a sign the Church is moving in the right direction, to be honest.
EDIT: Also, for anyone interested, there were three black popes in the early days of the Church -

There may well have been more, had Egypt and North Africa not been converted to Islam after the fall of the Roman Empire. St. Augustine also would be considered Black by modern standards, though he is often painted as a white person with northern European features.![]()
