    Best car ever made.

When I was little my cousin had a blue 57 Bel Air convertible and would take my sister and me for rides in it.

When I was 14, my brother (older than me by 14 years) and I bought a '57 2 door hardtop to restore for me for when I got my driver's license. We got all of the body work completed and had some of the interior done, nice leather seats. We got a 283 bored out to a 304 with a hot cam. It came from the parents of a kid who was killed racing it. About that time my dad sold his business and we moved to another state. Dad wouldn't let me bring the chevy. My brother still talks about his '57 chevy. And I still want one but I'm not going to restore it. It's cheaper to let some other person restore it and then sell it to me at a giant loss.

Even though i doubt the 51 original miles, that car is worth some serious money

    Nice!
You know, you can find hubcaps pretty easily.
You know, you can find cameras that actually focus pretty easily.
Is that a paint booth in your old man's garage???

I'm not going to go to a lot of work to narrow it down but that's closer to a 78 or so.

We took the hucaps off to clean the whitewalls.Yes that is a paint booth. My dad has owned that car for a long time.He bought it off the original owner who was a chevey dealer in fulton county Georgia. He had a 55,56,57 in red and black.A few nomads and 2 El Morocco's.He would buy new cars from his dealership and drive them to his shop and cover them.He started selling them off in the mid 80's.That 57 still has all the original tags under the hood.As well as original markings underneath.

Whoa - Tell me he still has the El Morocco's. I've never even seen one irl. Those things would be worth a fortune! If he sold them I hope he made some major $$$.
