I can buy that, not like they won a bunch of Grammys tonight or anything. And Howard has his fingers on the pulse of the audience and knows what they want. Why would they want talented musicians who are fans of the show when instead he can deliver Jenny McCarthy and Richard Simmons?

People forget that we are talking about relevancy to Howard's audience. Anyone who still likes Howard is still stuck in the 90s. That is why Jewel is more relevant than the Black Keys. The Black Keys' demo is more in their 20s and most people in their 20s only know Howard from AGT.

Howard's audience like light weight retread "rock" groups because Howard is a light weight retread at this point.
