    I do laundry wrong

First I put the clothes in the washer, then I turn it on, while the water is going in the washer, I pour the soap where the water is streaming in. I guess this is wrong.

Also, I inadvertently bought high efficiency soap but read on the Internet it is still ok to use in a regular washer. It's just formulated to sud less but will still work in a regular washer without having to use more. HE soap is more the norm now, it's hard to find regular liquid soap.

Laundry day is several times a week.

I do laundry once every two weeks.

I use those new Tide Pod things.

I just finished my laundry for the next 2 weeks.

My secret is using the same socks. I have about 24 pair of them.

We spent a fortune on front loaders and they suck, imo. I'd go for a good top loader any day. The front loaders conserve water but at the cost of your clothes not getting as clean. The washer also develops funny smells if you aren't careful and run bleach through them ever so often.

I think (and i could be wrong [too]), but I think the high-efficiency detergent works in cold water, which is causing a lot of people to use cold-water cycles only...which leads to a build up of mildew in the washer!

Also? I fill with water first, then add detergent and then, once the cycle starts, I toss in the clothes. So long as you don't overload the washer, I don't think it really matters. (top-loading washers only)

I love doing laundry! I don't even mind folding it, but I do detest putting it away. I have a front loading washer/dryer and love it, but I do regular maintenance to make sure it stays running well.

I've used the pod boosts and they seem to work pretty well to whiten and brighten. When I lived alone I could get away with laundry once a week.

Yeah, mine is a few years old, not high efficiency and top loading. Are all HE washers front loading?

I do it exactly the same way. Why is it wrong?

I throw my Tide Pods into the machine, stuff my clothes in, start it, and walk away.

Boyfriend. He says the instructions on the soap say to run the water first, add soap, then clothes. I ain't got time for all that. . he says putting soap directly on the clothes can fade and ruin your clothes.

I have one that is a top load. I'm too tall for front loaders.

Yup mine too, I think it's a question of fading clothes?
