the articles are great if you don't have time to read a whole book. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a great read as well no matter how many times you have seen the movie.

The Great Shark Hunt is an awesome collection of his short stories from Rolling Stone and other magazines. It is a 'Must Have' if you're going to get into HST. I have re-read it a few times.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is his best book.

All of HST's shit is great.

Del Toro in the movie cracks me up when he flaps his arms in the air and grunts like a caveman. "UHHH UHHH!!"

One of the funniest things I have ever read in my entire life is from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas when he heads out to Vegas with the lawyer, and they pick up the hitchhiker.

There is not one loser in any of his books. I'd say Great Shark Hunt to see him at his prime. Generation of Swine is the most accessible. But legend of Lono, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Hells Angels.

All these people are right. One of the greatest American authors. My favorites are F&L in Las Vegas, then Campaign Trail. His take on the political parties, and politicians in general, is hilarious, spot on, and miles ahead of his time
