But from what I took away, if civil society were to break down to the point that local law enforcement could not handle the matter, the US military would come in and quickly restore order. Very quickly.

Hypothetical sitch, CCW state, 5 in the morning and I'm delivering papers ,and a couple of people jump out of an unmarked vehicle and start blasting, I assume an unmarked vehicle ,since they wanted to keep an eye on potential targets of Dorner without scaring him off. If I returned fire, still not knowing wtf was happening, just that I was in some shit, and, say, killed both officers...how fucked would I be for defending myself in a case of mistaken identity, or if I was in bed, some cops busted through the door, maybe even id'ed themselves as such the nanosecond before they came busting in, since they had the wrong address ,and my legal Mossberg 500 separated their heads from their torso, would I be SOL?

While Jerry Brown is pacifying the dolts of the state with his gobbledygook smoke & mirrors, businesses (tax base) are leaving the state in droves....
