true, and this is exactly where a person should be accountable for the things they say, in their personal relationships. Tracy Morgan didn't owe an apology to the world though. we all need to realize that celebrities are normal people, with varying viewpoints on every subject, but this shouldn't have an impact on our enjoyment of the product they produce. I'm white and I'm pretty sure that spike lee despises white people. I like some of his movies however. if someone produced a tape tomorrow of him talking about his hate for white people it wouldn't affect my enjoyment of his films.

i kind of disagree with you. I don't really think you can trash gay people with a public statement and then get to apologize privately.

It's like the shithead who acts like an asshole to you during an office meeting and then, privately, pulls you aside to apologize.

i just told Monk hat yesterday! he didn't know either.

I remember she was on Howard, and was ADAMANTLY against breast feeding and on a campaign to stop it. that's when I decided i hated her.

You do your scary great pictures because you're a professional. I'll take my stupid...automatic camera...take pictures and we'll see if people can tell the difference. - HS, 2-1-02

I didn't mean that he should apologize to his gay acquaintances. either he really feels like he'd stab his son if he found out he was gay ( in which case an apology means nothing, he's not sorry) or he was trying to be entertaining in a public forum and said it for effect. either way the apology was meaningless. I'm not saying that hating people is a good thing. I'm just saying that he has a right to hate people. and no one has a right to not be offended. you definitely have a right not to buy his product, but this fake apology tour that seems to happen every time a celebrity says something that's offensive is just meaningless. it has created a feeling with the public that no one should ever be offended by anything. as if its a right. it's just as bad and hypocritical as the old moral majority.
