Aside from agreeing with what's been said, which is all so true... I want to know: wtf do these 2 dipshits think is SO commendable about adopting a dog? I love how what used to be a normal thing, to go and pick out a dog for your home, has now been elevated to "RESCUING" a poor animal.

I can tell you; each g-damn time my parents took in a stray that me or my siblings begged for, or went to the Humane Society to pick one out, they did NOT go under the guise of being some frickin' Florence Nightengale of the animoe world, rescuing a "special needs" soul, all while making themselves out to be heroes.

EXACTLY. The oldest child in my family, my brother, is adopted... and it wasn't a topic of conversation hardly EVER. It was just something they did, when they were under the impression that they couldn't have kids (which my older sister and I are proof that that wasn't the case...!!!!)

THIS kind of self-promotion, like they're fucking saints for adopting, or RESCUING a dog, is what makes me ill.
