Looks like Mandel quit? Howard wanted his own show, maybe he has it by becoming the senior judge? Maybe Howie knows the show has run it's course and this will be the last season? By this time last year AGT ads were flooding TV. This year?

Howard doesn't have that kind of juice. He'd be on his way out too, if he didn't sign a 2-year deal.
He maybe could have done it before it was proven he was ratings poison, but not now that the results are in.
And why would he want Mandel gone? He's no threat to Howard; he was just about in the fetal position during his last Stern appearance.
At most AGT is looking to go bargain-basement cheap with the other judges to try to recover from this disaster.

If Robin's health (and possibly appearance) wasb't all fucked up I guarantee she would be joining the judging panel.
I predict Jilllian Barbarie will be a judge next season.
Then they'll go and try to sign some gay guy for the third judge (or howard will pick one of his friends from the music world ie Natalie Maines' guy from Train ect)
