Oh I agree -- if someone wants to wipe their ass with a flag, that's their right. I think that push to make it illegal to do anything offensive to a flag against the law (was that ever passed?) was silly. I was just pointing out the reason they were asked to remove them was not because the teachers were lefty liberal 'Merica haters, but because they found the use of the flag as a sweat band highly offensive, and possibly disruptive. The guys returning to disrupt the assembly further kind of proved their point that these kids were looking for attention. Schools have the right to try to prevent that kind of thing.

arnold was a republican. thats a fact.
all republican are in name only, its a name that means nothing.
unlike u, i care less what party anyone is in. i judge each individual based on policy.
im not offended by it at all.
i care less what anyone wears on their head. be it a flag, a ny yankees cap, or a towel.
you seem offended though so maybe YOU the bedwetter.
you may even be a liberal, as you supported several liberal policies and politicians
ps: breaking the rules to wear clothing items that are not acceptable, is far more liberal than conservative.

You have OBVIOUSLY confused me with someone else you obtuse shithead.
I don't vote for liberals be they democrats or Republicans.
Now please STFU and die with festering boils.
Kalifornia is the land of fruits and nuts and governed by bed-wetters afraid of their own shadows.
seems to me they were suspended because they're a bunch of little assholes, and not because of they were supporting America.

None of your fucking business
I don't support democrats PERIOD.you don't you support dems when they are conservative on an issue?
They are brain damaged socialists.
There is no such thing as a democrat who is "conservative on an issue".
The fact they are democrats means they have embraced the nanny state.
I support independent conservatives, libertarians and conservative Republicans.
FTR, I voted AGAINST Ted Cruz as he's bought & paid for trial lawyer owned by the Chinese.

i knew you wouldnt answer, because you arent proud of who you support.
some dems are conservative on some issues. including the pres.
if you cheered them for it, maybe they'd do more of it.
we could list them, but i know you dont care.
your gov would flip to dem if he thought it would make him win.
party affiliation is meaningless

You'll love this. As a kid I was cashier at a grocery store that had a HUGE American flag flying outside (pre 9/11). The store manager had been a serviceman of some sort (think it was Navy) and was proud of his service. It was intown Atlanta.
Anyways, we actually received complaints about the flag outside. One of our customers was in the store and witnessed a complaint someone gave me about the flag outside. He waited for the customer to leave and said to me, "what is this? Russia or something? Who complains about an American flag in the US?"
It was a surprise, too, because the guy was an artsy-type. I kinda expected him to agree with the complainer but even he recognized the ridiculousness of the complaint.
It takes all kinds. . . .
Have derision, will travel
I am EXTREMELY proud of who I vote for!
Words and labels have meanings.
The democrat party and its members espouse something and are something that should be REVILED!
You sir haven't said a fucking thing to indicate you are anything more than a worthless troll who's butt-hurt
because someone told you the truth about the land of fruits and nuts known as Kalifornia.
Here you go.
Just fill it out Nancy.
PS- Don't forget to go out and get those new rubber pants for the bed-wetting.

how am i butthurt about who you voted for when i dont even know who it is?
you the one who seems mad. i just enjoy discussing politics. you dont want to, thats fine.
probably the people you voted for are liberal on a lot of issues.
and again, as to the thread topic, its more liberal to wear banned clothing items.

It was a U.S. Supreme Court case in the '80s and it was ruled that burning the flag is constitutionally-protected, free speech.
That's still a violation of the 1st Amendment, but courts have, in the past, sided with schools in their attempt to maintain order and keep the students' focus on their studies...or some shit like that.
Yeah, but if the school administrators simply ignored them, that might've taken care of the problem too.
That 4 sentence "article" is considered journalism nowadays?
Seriously??

In the late 80s I wore an American flag to a toga party. One guy there wanted to kick my ass.
