Brock is a friend with some of the DirecTV brass. He was planted as a caller initially and tried to come up with recurring bits. When the guys come to Los Angeles, he appeared with them in studio (since he is from Los Angeles as well). During this time, Artie fed him lines and bits which would help make him more dynamic. And that is where Andre The Giant was born.

Oh, okay, he was a plant caller. I didn't realize he was connected like that already, I thought he was just calling on his own. Will's got the inside dope. Thanks !

The show is being controlled by the West Coast execs. They hired Dan Felato who happens to be from the same neighborhood as the twins. The Twins just came off a Network appearnce on that Amazing race bullshit. Brock is also a west coast exec guy. So yeah it seems that it all may have been pre-planned.

Nick did Gutfields show on Fox a few weeks back. Not sure what else he is up to. This show was always DirecTV's baby, which is why I was phased out once it went to television.

If they were plants, they certainly fooled me (especially considering that I had to explain to Dan who they were and why they should take the call so late in the show). Contrast this to Brock where I was instructed he would call on the hotline.

I enjoyed my time on the show, but it wasn't creatively fulfilling on my end. I do have some interesting voice mails which I am sitting on to be released when the time is appropriate (nothing ground breaking, just funny behind the scenes nonsense).

This is Will who handled callers for N&A from day one and invented a health bar (one of Artie's funnier bust-ass bits).
