here's the only real reason that ever worked for me, and it's the opposite of one of the reasons they list:

Run because you can.

when cars pass me and i'm panting and wheezing and looking like an all out load, i say to myself "at least I'M running"

and then there are those who can't. When you think about it, we're the lucky ones to be able to be out there panting and wheezing and looking like all out loads.

Stupid phone was on the fritz.... saying I ran 1 mile in 4 min... So don't have pace for today..Had to reset it in the middle of run. Ran 3.9 miles tho.

I have always ran landing on my heels BudBudha. I am changing it now to prevent future injuries. I don't want to repeat the time that I was running when all of a sudden my knee started hurting to the point where I just collapsed. It sucked because it was in the middle of a hot day and I had to limp a mile home.
Hopefully I can keep up with you guys with improvements.

I check into this thread for motivation when i don't want to run. today is one of those days. anyone ever get anxiety before a run? like "gee, what if this sucks and is absolute torture?"
