I think that's giving her way too much credit. I think she'd suck the last nickel out of a sofa before donating it to Goodwill. I don't buy for a second that she just willingly left AGT out of some moral outrage over the way the network treated her son and his condition.

I could be wrong, but she strikes me as someone who's all about the dollars, with feelings and morals coming in a distant second.

And Ozzy ain't the tour horse he once was.

I also don't buy that Howard's got the kind of juice at AGT to get another judge fired. He'd be gone if he hadn't signed a two-year deal, and he'll definitely be gone after this season.

But unless she's got some Australian boy-toy I think this makes her look like a loser, having to fly halfway around the world for a much, much lesser tv gig.

How much could that gig pay? Australia's about 1/15th the size of the US, population-wise.

I agree the deal with her son was her "cover story." Maybe she still has a contract to fulfill. And if Howard didn't get her fired - I would believe she wanted to get away from him and Australia certainly sends that message.

How is she going to be able to go to Australia and be on The Talk at the same time? I thought that was one of her big concerns - that is, to make sure that AGT would not disrupt The Talk.

I think Sharon leaving was done by AGT. I do think she was impacted by the hiring of Howard. AGT paid out a large amount to get Howard and did not really get the payoff in the ratings. I think AGT realizes they need to get someone else with name recognition to help the show. Howard had a two year contract, so he wasn't going anywhere, not sure what the deal is with Howie Mandel. Sharon was low man on the totem pole. I have said, in another thread, that my gut is that it will be Jewel, but I guess we will see.
