LAPD officers have been dispatched to the homes of the other officers that were named in his rambling manifesto....



Published at 4:49 a.m. ET: LOS ANGELES -- Detectives are looking for a former LAPD officer, apparently disgruntled over his termination from the force, in connection with the double murder of a newly engaged couple last weekend, officials said Wednesday.

Irvine Police Chief David Maggard said that Christopher Jordan Dorner implicated himself in a "multi-page manifesto" that was published online but has since been taken down. A source inside LAPD gave NBC4 the manifesto, which is about 11,300 words long and appears to lay out a plan for targeting those involved in his firing.

In the manifesto -- addressed to "America" and titled "Last Resort" -- Dorner writes that the "horrendous murders" are "a necessary evil.

"I know I will be villified (sic) by the LAPD and the media," he writes. "Unfortunately, this is a necessary evil that I do not enjoy but must partake and complete for substantial change to occur within the LAPD and reclaim my name."

Dorner goes on to say, "There will be an element of surprise where you work, live, eat, and sleep."
Authorities asked for the public's help in finding Dorner, whose last known address is 4931 Sharon Dr. in La Palma. Dorner is described as 6 feet tall, about 270 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Three officers were shot -- two in Riverside, one in Corona -- during the search early Thursday for a former Los Angeles Police Department officer wanted in connection with a double slaying in Irvine.

Police said two Riverside officers responded to Magnolia and Arlington avenues (map) at about 1:30 a.m. after receiving a call for assistance. The response occurred during the search that began with a report of a vehicle matching the description of ex-LAPD Officer Christopher Dorner.

Both Riverside officers were shot and transported to a hospital, where one was pronounced dead. The second officer remained in surgery, police said.
"The suspect did flee the scene, and we're in the process of trying to identify and apprehend the suspect at this time," said Riverside Lt. Guy Toussaint.

Corona Sgt. Brent Nelson confirmed that the Riverside shooting is connected to another Thursday morning shooting in Corona. LAPD's Newton Division confirmed early Thursday that two of its officers were involved in a confrontation with a man believed to be Dorner.

One of the officer's was shot, suffering what was described as a graze wound.

A third officer-involved shooting was reported at about 5:30 a.m. in Torrance. Officers did not confirm that shooting was connected to the Dorner search.

Also early Thursday, the San Diego Harbor Police Department confirmed a badge with Dorner's picture identification was found at about 2:27 a.m. in the center divider on Harbor Drive, near San Diego International Airport.

Even with the multiple conversations and ambient noise I heard Officer XXXX call an indivdual a nigger again. Now that I had confirmed it, I told XXXX not to use that word again. I explained that it was a well-known offensive word that should not be used by anyone. He replied, “I’ll say it when I want”. Officer XXXX, a friend of his, also stated that he would say nigger when he wanted. At that point I jumped over my front passenger seat and two other officers where I placed my hands around XXXXs’ neck and squeezed. I stated to XXXX, “Don’t fucking say that”. At that point there was pushing and shoving and we were separated by several other officers. What I should have done, was put a Winchester Ranger SXT 9mm 147 grain bullet in his skull and Officer XXXX’s skull. The Situation would have been resolved effective, immediately.

I’m not an aspiring rapper, I’m not a gang member, I’m not a dope dealer, I don’t have multiple babies momma’s. I am an American by choice, I am a son, I am a brother, I am a military service member, I am a man who has lost complete faith in the system, when the system betrayed, slandered, and libeled me. I lived a good life and though not a religious man I always stuck to my own personal code of ethics, ethos and always stuck to my shoreline and true North. I didn’t need the US Navy to instill Honor, Courage, and Commitment in me but I thank them for re-enforcing it. It’s in my DNA.
