Which should be legalized first: Weed or Prostitution?

my personal opposition to any use of drugs aside, i don't think that the role of a government is to govern on moral issues. not in full, anyways. so, one's personal decision is essential for self responsibility. in the end, we are only responsible for ourselves and the decisions we've made. the government isn't a parental figure. so, i say - legalise pot and prostitution. but this shouldn't extend to harder drugs, of course.

One thing I could never understand is - if I stand on a street corner & say to someone, to have sex with me is $200 (or whatever) - that's illegal.

But if I have sex with someone, w/cameras rolling, and I get paid for it, that's legal? How so?

Exactly..and this friend of a friend of a friend lives in his mother's basement, doing 40 pills per day...no job...and his mother says.."well, he has a prescription..." she is in denial...oh and by the way, this dude is getting disability for "back trouble"..yeah right.
and the other friend..had no formal education..built up a successful trucking company, at one point drove a $70K BMW, and has pissed it all away. Is living with his mother, lost his company, his house..and his only desire is where his next oxy is coming from...makes me so sad.

using an artificial substance as an 'escape element,' whether it is alcohol or pot, is an unhealthy approach to resolving personal issues; once the body/mind experiences that initial release, the body/mind will always acknowledge the possibility of a quick escape (even in the case of pot, where there are little to know physical shortcomings) when stressful issues of life arise. Unbeknown to most, once the mind is exposed to this this window it will always consider its use at times. thats my 2¢.

I agree but the only case that I say NO is when doctors prescribe oxy or such shit to unsuspecting people..we think if our "doctor" prescribes it, it must be ok...but it is not..
