The whole tone of this thread deeply offends me.
What really astounds me when someone who is not that old pulls out a checkbook in any line. WTF, don't you trust plastic? Especially when they wait until the groceries have been totaled. "Oh, I better dig into my purse now and find my checkbook. What's the date today?"

Pretty soon people are going to be going back to writing checks for everything once businesses start charging up to 4% fees to use a credit card for payment. Supposedly debit cards will not be subject to the fee but just give the banks time and they will come up with one.

I got a Haddock sub today with lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce then brought it home and made a blueberry smoothie with my new Cuisinart stick blender. I feel sad for everyone that has to resort to Subway.
