It REEKED of PAID plug, as always...for Oscar consideration...if it wins Best Picture, then Anonymous should hack into Hollywood and fuck them up somehow...gimme a break, the movie is a guilty pleasure homage to spaghetti westerns and just happens to have a serious subject matter. The 20-minute bloodbath was like an SNL skit.

Just wait till someone tells him its racist, then he will hate it.

i liked everything about Django, except that Jamie Fox was in it. Fox could make the audience of Apocalypse Now fall asleep.

I love it too. But, hearing him it sounded too much like shtick.

He won't notice. He's too busy creaming when the guys touch him.

Overrated movie by a self indulgent director. Christopher Holz played the same level headed, efficient, cold character he played in "Inglorious Basterds". The multiple thread movie within a movie worked in "Pulp Fiction" but fell on it's ass here because all the individual sub stories were incomplete or fell short of the mark. He missed the sense of adventure and fun in spaghetti westerns and it failed in that regard. He missed the effect of realism when the Jamie Fox character sat down to dinner after the plantation killings - he destroyed any tension that might have been developed when logic went out the window. Jamie Fox as the avenging angel lost all effect as the deaths became cartoonish.

Tarantino got the look perfect but forgot he had to include a compelling a story - the same disease Tim Burton has developed.

The acting, design and cinematography was great. The soundtrack was great. The movie was a dud. And it was too long.

Feh. A 3-star Western (if you want an honest review.)

He addressed it. He still loved it and defended the "nigger" talk. Robin was the one who had a problem with it...she spewed some bullshit about how it wasn't realistic and said it made slavery look not as bad as it was. It was convoluted rambling...she just wanted to be offended.

Howard seemed kind of pissed about her stupid opinion and dismissed her.

45 mins too long and way overhyped. Not even in the neighborhood of PF. Takes self indulgence to new levels.

Pretty much. Foxx was forgettable, but he wasn't bad. It was the Kraut's movie. And Jackson was a great villain.

I went the other day and it was excellent. 2-hrs & 45-mins but it never dragged. Seeing Don Johnson as a plantation owner was cool. DiCaprio and Jackson were awesome together. Jaimie Foxx, who I can't stand, was perfectly cast and that German dude was incredible. It makes me want to check out Inglorious Basterds.

Christof Waltz is great in Tarantino movies. He excels at long solo speeches that explain the main plot of the movie, which Tarantino seems to recognize and writes all his dialog as a big narrative. So far, Waltz' performances are what i remember most from both movies.

Robin didn't like it because it wasn't realistic. Um, no shit, BITCH... It's a movie, not a fucking documentary.
    This is better than rejuvenation.
