I have. I get sent as a last resort. I know enough to say what I should say and not what I think.

Quick story time.....

'twas on scene quite a few years ago for a guy threatening to shoot himself in the chest with a gun. I was at the perimeter, not in the room with him BTW. A supervisor is on scene trying to get him to put down the gun and talk but the dude won't comply. Finally the boss asks if he'd put down the gun for a cigarette so the dude says "OK". The only problem was that nobody on scene had a cigarette to give him. So the boss says "sorry, we don't have a cigarette....." and the dude shrugs and shoots himself in the heart.

I told that supervisor that I always felt like shooting myself when he gave rollcall and that I couldn't believe it took so long for someone to actually do it. I'm a gem!
