I wish someone would call out Howard and Fred for their 180 on Jewel. I remember a few months before her first appearance, Howard and Fred shit all over her, and then suddenly she does the show and she's talented. I wonder if she's a Buchwald client or something?

I really think she is the next judge on agt. I thought it was strange how much Howard has been promoting her upcoming appearance for the last two weeks. She seems to fit the mold of what Agt would want. When Howard brought up the subject of agt and would she ever considered doing it she gave a quick yes. It seemed right after Gary got on microphone and said that she really had to go. It almost felt like her publicist wanted her out before too much was said. Also he was rushing through the news due to the big meeting but took the time throughout to pick up three calls saying how great Jewel was.

Yep,,,,same interview...she IS a bore for sure...
and her music is just insufferable....I had to agree with the caller this morning who said her rendition of "Damage Done" was just HAAARRRRIBLE because it was!!!!
It's like nails on a chalkboard.....when she did that yodel-ing and hit that high note? oh my Gawd

just awful.
But of course Howard lies and pretends it was wonderful....

btw...noticed her Dental Work...FINALLY got that snaggle tooth fixed! about time!

When Stern appeared on the same show as Jewel (Letterman?) he took a massive shit on her and her mother the next live radio show.....hillbilly...white trash....Jesus loving asshole....snaggle tooth.
Notice he left all of that out when he talked about it today.....

I'm sure there is only about 20 of us left from those days...

No, Howard used to goof on her a lot. I was specifically remembering when he talked about her being on DWTS, and he said that she came across as desperate and washed up. Then he and Fred said that people screwed up by acting liking she was a real, insightful artist with that "Who will save our souls?" song when "there wasn't anything there" or something like that. Then, the same year, she was booked on the show and all of a sudden it went out the window. I tried to find it on marksfriggin, but gave up after a few minutes of digging.
