I don't understand these kraut-studies: just because they can't find newer evidence of Neanderthals in Europe does not necessarily mean they went extinct. Had the krauts gone to North Philly they would know Neanderthals are alive and actively breeding in the United States.

It's called correcting the process. Carbon dating never proposed to be 100% accurate. It's also not the only thing used to estimate age. The bible doesn't even mention neanderthals does it?
