True but who ever puts out the console first usually wins the battle. 360 came out a year before ps3 and snatched up millions of loyal ps2 people who didn't want to wait. By the time ps3 came out and the programmers figured out how to write good games, xbox was already way ahead. It took years for ps3 to catch up and that's only because the xbox was inferior, didn't have blu-ray and of course:
