All of the critics are just wowed over her performance last night and how it put to rest the rumors about her lip-synching at the inauguration. To me, it really showed how dependent she really is on lip-synching. The show was 90% dancing, pyro-technics, hotness, etc. She only sang for about 30 seconds of the entire show, and for much of that, she was out of breath. As I said in the title above, to me, it was not only not a great show, but really showed how dependent she is on lip-synching.

I'm not a fan of Beyonce... I think she's overly dramatic when she sings, and like you said - she does all the dancing and effects crap.

I am really getting sick of her. She totally hijacked the Inauguration, and now she has announced her world tour so she will be in our face all year. And I think that Beyonce only sang live for a portion of the halftime show. I would say about 70% of the time she was lip-syncing, and the rest was live. The transition was obvious

Hardly any new artists nowadays can sing unaided. Beyonce can because she actually does have a great singing voice.. But the rest of them couldn't sing acapella if their lives depended on it.

amazing that they couldn't find a caucasian to be part of the show....jennifer hudson(very talented), alicia keyes (brilliant singer and pianist), and beyonce (mediocre at everything she does).

They've come a LONG way, from how they were raised to think about other races... really. Moving away in their early twenties to South Florida helped a LOT.
But that saying (touched with the brush) was something I heard when I was a teenager, regarding mixed race kids (or "octoroons, mulattos").
Another saying that always made me giggle was a friend's mom, calling white/black kids "khaki". Like..."I think their son is one of those khaki kids..."
