Thread: Baddfunn?

    Baddfunn?

My downstairs washroom backed up. The toilet, the sink, and the shower. I don't even use that shower 'cause it wasn't built correctly...my brother had his stuff stored in it (HA HA!), but it backed up 2 inches. It also came up through the drain in the floor, which (brilliantly) has wood flooring over it.

Am I correct to assume that this is grey water, and I'm going to have to cut out walls and replace the entire floor?

Check the toilet drain for jerkoff socks.

    No idea.
I end up doing everything myself.

I am a good woman...but this is the shower in the basement. I have a shower upstairs.

The guy who thought he knew what he was doing when he "finished" the basement before I bought the house was a moron. GREAT looking shower...with the center drain elevated - so it works...but it doesn't drain. I've never used that shower since I realized it's shortcoming. It's more decorative than anything.

I don't think it was a model. Why would that make a difference?

A model home is not designed to be lived in.

My house is one of the smaller ones in this subdivision. I highly doubt it was a model. That being said, I was only 17 when it was built, so I really wouldn't know.

The basement was "finished" by the previous homeowner, just before I bought it 5 years ago. He was an idiot. One of those guys who clearly considered himself a "jack of all trades"...but fucked up pretty much every aspect of the project.

Check the outside Breaker Panel first.

I ain't checking shit. I shut off the water downstairs, and I am simply hiring a plumber first thing in the morning, and deciding if I need to go through insurance from there.

You don't know anyone that can check the pipes?

PP tried to snake the sink and toilet. (yes, he's back)

    To no avail.

I have no "plumber" friends. Besides...if it's covered through insurance, why would I waste a buddy's time anyways?

    New floors for free? giddyup
