The best players come to the US to play either American football or baseball. Particularly with baseball you'll find a lot of non-US players.

Maybe that's how it's called "World Championship."

Because if some other nation held a "championship" with stuff and another country wanted to challenge it, it would. But as we see with Japanese baseball players who are the best in their country, they still can't compete (not consistently) at a "world" level.

Otherwise Japan would not have limitations on foreign players (which MLB does not). Nor would Canadian football have limitations on foreign players (which the NFL does not).
