Sure, a lot of churches have troops but they are not the majority.

As the Boy Scouts of America reconsiders excluding gays as Scouts or leaders, Gov. Rick Perry said Saturday that most people see no reason to change the policy.

“And neither do I,” he said..........

Responding to a reporter’s question about whether a change in policy could teach children about tolerance and diversity, Perry countered that Scouts already learn that every day.

“Scouting is about teaching a substantial amount of life lessons,” he said. “Sexuality is not one of them, never has been, doesn’t need to be.”

Perry said it would be inappropriate for the organization to conform to popular culture and wrong to make Scouts and leaders accept a behavior that they don’t.

I am for gay rights, and I am quite socially liberal. But I believe in freedom, and this country is defyning freedom in a very leftist way this day and age. Private orginizaitons should be able to do whatever they want, and if they think it is immoral to be gay, and they have stances such as keeping morally straight, they should be able to keep with those "principles", it is their Amercian right, and the left shouldn't put their noses in everybodys business.
