Ignore seems to work way better at SFN. When you put them on ignore, it's as you say -- no sign that they even exist. Here, you still see constant reminders that someone you have on ignore is posting and starting threads.

SFN does it differently than I do (I suspect it is unintentional at SFN). I took pieces of three different no longer supported mods at VB and combined the parts I wanted into a custom mod for SB (because Hoochie and EJ were trying to drive me crazy). Here I do it with a XUL extension i wrote and run locally on my FF. We're not a FF shop at work so I don't have a lot of time to spend on extensions for it, so i never publish my stuff (it would crash people's browsers too often).
