Below is from the Mac Mini web page, seems like if you want to use anything but an Apple monitor you have to buy an adaptor, hmm, HDMI not listed, but shown on back of unit which is a step in the right direction. Why does Apple stubbornly insist on trying to gouge people with proprietary parts, when perfectly good standards the majority of people use are available. Micro-USB is used by like everybody for mobile phones and instead of using that, they make you use their Lightning connector for the iphone 5.
