Seriously though. There's a fire station every fucking 5 miles? Hell, I've been stuck on Vermont for 10 minutes and only went 2 or three blocks.

You still don't realize that your statement was asinine.

Even in that log jammed toilet bowl they call Los Angeles, the LAFD average response time is officially "6 minutes, 47 seconds"

You must be the only one. Last time I checked I grew up in So Cal as well and your statement is completely asinine. But since your so well versed in everything fire related in Cali, can you tell me the work schedule they work now? I'm curious.

It's pretty sad when these guys get up there pushing middle age and they're still behaving (and dressing) like they were when they were in their 20's .... I saw a news story on Dee Snider a few weeks ago, and he was at some gig with Twisted Sister....The dude was a complete mess!!..He looked like a Blonde Eliot Offen.. He was beyond disturbing looking... He looked like an 80 year old hag wearing a leotard, with a make-up caked into his wrinkled, droopy face ....I just cant imagine who'd pay money to see that trainwreck...

    Wow that was fast

I didn't see anyone twiddling their thumbs though

My first thought was why in the fuck do you have fireworks in a building?

I just saw people getting out of the way coughing and panicked. I saw a person staying at the door taking off his jacket continuing to help. As well as others helping.

I would hate to be caught in that shit. However, I don't like that music, never would have listened to it in high school, shit sucks.

You're clearly out of touch, and misinformed ...

And what would their work schedule have to do with response time?? ... Their shift changes (unless out on a call) are going to be seamless...

This is why you're statement was asinine. By your own admission LAFD isn't 3-4 minutes not to mention the rest of Cali and neither is your beloved OCFD. I also said I was just curious if you knew their schedule. That's my own curiosity. I believe it used to be 1 week on 1 week off when my roommate was in the academy. I have 3 friends here that are firefighters and they work 2 days every 6 days.

When I refer to "Cali ", I'm obviously indicating the area in which I live...I don't have a beat on the entire 163,000 square miles of the state... Nor do I have the departmental policies of every fire agency in my area memorized ...One would think that bit of information would be a given, but (apparently) this went over your head....
I read the newspaper daily & watch 1-2 hours of news per day. (On top of what I hear on the radio to & from work)...I'm well up to date on the fiscal goings-on of the bureaucracies in my topographic vicinity, and am also good friends with 3 different Fire-Fighters ....I don't pull statements such as these out of my ass & then present the turds as fact. Your reality is clearly different than mine.... I'll stand by my statements (as always). ...God bless
