Cris Carter & Bill Parcells finally git in

    No Charles Haley.....No Michael Strahan?

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/89...ball-hall-fame

The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced its five-man modern-era Class of 2013.

Offensive linemen Larry Allen and Jonathan Ogden; coach Bill Parcells; receiver Cris Carter; and defensive lineman Warren Sapp.

Wide receiver Andre Reed; running back Jerome Bettis; cornerback Aeneas Williams; and defensive linemen Michael Strahan and Charles Haley were also finalists but did not earn election, to be elected, a finalist must receive 80 percent of the vote.

Allen, Ogden, Sapp all enter the Hall of Fame in the first year of eligibility, while Parcells was in his second year.

To be eligible for election, modern-era players and coaches must be retired at least five consecutive seasons.

There are also two senior inductees, former Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Oilers defensive tackle Curley Culp and former Green Bay Packers and Washington Redskins linebacker Dave Robinson.

At least your team has hall of fame candidates to argue about. Try being a Bengal fan, the last decent player we had was Corey Dillon. I do agree that Strahan deserves to get in, though, it's just that HOF voters tend to hold a grudge against TV personalities/commentators for whatever reason so it might take him awhile.

That's true, but Sapp has already fucked his gig up (at least with Inside the NFL), and he's not going for the family friendly/PC thing. The NFL voters are really arbitrary sometimes, it's hard to figure them out.

Pretty frickin' picky if it took Parcells 2 tries to get in.

Those mid-eighties Giants changed how the game is played.

I still say Parcells' threw the super bowl as a fuck you to Bob Kraft for not allowing him full control over the patriots.

Cris Carter is the primary reason I don't watch any of ESPN's pre-game shows. He's a crybaby bitch who had some good seasons in Minnesota, then had a hissy fit when Randy Moss got there and started obliterating his records. I fucking hate him.
