My guess would be that what's next is RTLD announcing a "book deal." Benjy will try to do it as soon as he fails to get another job after this one ends; he's probably already working on it so he can try to get it out in between the time he gets fired and when Howard retires if shit goes down that way. Ralph will do it exactly one month after Howard tells him that they'll obviously be friends for life and that he'll always be happy to put in a good word for him, but he just doesn't need his professional services anymore. Six month later, Cabbie will put out a book that is identical to the exact full text of Ralph's entire book but with every 50th word changed to a synonym. Hilarity ensues.

speaking of photoshop, adobe is basically giving away a full CS2 version, amongst other older software programs, for free on their site. i just downloaded it the other day and installed it. works great. so for those of you who have always wanted photoshop and other adobe titles and don't care if they're 7 years old, go check it out. it's totally legit. seems they did this because their servers can no longer update the software for those who paid for it back in the day and they had to release it with the keys for those who needed it.

I understand that. It hardly costs anything these days with POD publishing. But my feeling is that if you have to self-publish, it's really only a vanity project just like the traditional "vanity publishers" before the digital age. I never took it personally that I couldn't get a real publisher but listening to these idiots talk about their "books" is very annoying, that's all. I'm not really interested in self-publishing just so I can put it on my shelf and give them out to people.

LOL, my father did that with his "memoirs". He's a tad self-absorbed.
