I just loved your work in "Rules and regulations pertaining to wetland deforestation" and "Oversight committee rules and regulations". Sure, they're not page-turners like books on atheism and open marriage, but it's solid stuff.

Tell me about it. I write about 50,000 or 60,000 words a month for a living, every month of my life, year after year, and used to work as a writer/editor (GS-1082) for the federal government. Part of that job was giving periodic writing training to every agency employee in the entire NY/NJ/PR region. After reading something I wrote for a class, a law school professor took time from his work as a dean to mail me a letter over the summer after my graduation suggesting that I pursue professional writing opportunities. Never anything but rejection slips from publishers on three books (atheism, dog training, and sexually open marriage). So, it's really encouraging to see all these dimwit fucks like Lisa G, Booey, Robin, and Beth get right onto the full "best-seller" track at major publishing houses when they can hardly speak a sentence without massacring the English language and when the four of them combined don't have a worthwhile thought about anything in their heads.

It's even better when I hear Booey talking about how much "hard work" it was to write a whole 30,000 narrative words about his family. That's about 2 or 3 typical weeks of work for me and I'm writing about law, medical ethics, political science, and a few dozen similar topics, not about my relationship with my mean Mommy. I don't have any help from any ghostwriters, editors, copywriters, or any of the other resources of a major publishing house, either. It's even more heart-warming for me when a "multi-talent" like Beth proudly announces that her book is "all finished!" about six months after she still had no fuckin' clue how to save a document on her computer because all she'd ever used it for in the previous decade was online shopping and reading celebrity gossip sites like TMZ and Perez Hilton. I'm sure it's exactly the same way people who really earn an actual full-time living from photography feel when Howard talks about his scary photography "talent" and his magazine or book covers that are so in demand because of their quality.
