Bro, quit using a browser to use twitter. Use an app. Apps have tons of options including muting users for a specified amount of time, removing their retweets, etc etc. Twitter just doesn't give a fuck about their website since 95% of tweets are coming from apps. If you're on iPhone/iPad/Mac, consider Tweetbot... best damn Twitter app I've come across.
