Two more 49'ers make homophobic statements (sort of)...

    http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-sh...2867--nfl.html
The San Francisco 49ers earned a lot of goodwill at the start of the season when they becamethe first NFL team to tape an "It Gets Better" spot. Designed to encourage hope and acceptance among gay teens who are being bullied, the "It Gets Better" website features hundreds of videos from teams, groups and individuals eager to voice their support. One video that's no longer posted? The one the 49ers filmed in 2012.
Movement co-founder Dan Savage made the decision to pull the video after linebacker Ahmad Brooks and tackle Isaac Sopoaga strangely denied their involvement with "It Gets Better" when asked about it by Kevin Manahan of USA Today on Thursday afternoon. After being shown the video, the players then claimed ignorance of the ad's intentions and refused comment.
That's not exactly the type of look a team wants to give off when one of its members — defensive backChris Culliver— airedhis controversial thoughtsabout gay players being welcomed in the NFL. And especially not when it plays in one of the most gay-friendly cities in the world.

Wow. Football players are bullies and bigots?
    Shocking.

I was a little perturbed when the It Gets Better movement brought in professional athletes. I just knew that an entire team didn't support an anti-bullying, anti-bigotry position. It was only a matter of time.

Savage should've known better. With some of these assholes, it never gets better.

    Hi, FlaFla

It sounds like Brooks and Sopoaga were not aware that they were doing an LGBT PSA. They thought they were just doing an anti-bullying PSA. When you watch their spots, there's zero mention of gay bullying, just plain old bullying. I'm sure more will come to light in the coming days.

When can we produce some videos talking about "It Gets Better" with liberals?

Oh, that's right. It never gets better.

At least the 49ers ad has been pulled ().

I agree, tho, huge shocker that athletes (especially minority athletes) are lunkheads.

i understand some people not accepting gays yet.
what i dont understand is players who are being paid millions in the gayest market in the league, coming out against them for no reason.
its a lack of intelligence more than anything

And we see another hallmark of the liberal. If you don't share their opinion, they want you dead.

Let's perform an experiment. I won't wish you dead for a month, you refrain from typing the word "liberal," "libtard" (or any derivation of the word or sentiment) for a month.

    I wonder who would win.

I don't know if I could resist wishing you dead for a month.

Gays don't watch football. Most people who watch football are heterosexual men. Broads and donut punchers just watch the NFL casually. They don't understand the rules, know who the players are, or even know the teams.

Look at that pillow biter Ralph...he chooses teams based on how "pretty their uniforms are". That's the average fag mentality with it comes to analyzing professional sports. I don't think the 49ers lost any fans by airing out their anti-gay views. They probably gained more fans than lost actually.

I would bet a majority of 49ers fans are offended by homophobia, whether they're gay or not.

    Moreso than any other fanbase.

That's why the 49ers are trying to not seem homophobic at all.

The 49ers owner, who's 32, and their head coach are both Catholics, by the way.

KC is the only gay(allegedly) who ever worked on the show, he played football in college, and understands the game more than all the wanabe(gary & john) straight sports fans on the show.

of course most people who watch football are hetero's, because most people are heteros.
most people who watch badminton and mens swimming are hetero's too.

its still the gayest community and a certain % of them are fans, and its foolish to even alienate 1 fan unnecessarily. or more importantly, 1 advertiser.
if you had money invested in the team or nfl you'd care

    edit PS:
if you dont think gays watch the superbowl halftime show, then i dont know what to tell you.
it sure seems designed for them

Lesbians don't watch football? Clearly, you have no lesbian friends.

I agree, I think the 49ers failed to tell the players involved anything more than to just repeat "it gets better" when they did that video.
    Oh My...Woof!
