Space Shuttle Columbia exploded 10 years ago today: Why does no one care?

It happened on February 1, 2003, and it's almost February 2, 2013 and I haven't heard anything in the news, on Twitter, anywhere.

Yet I heard a bunch of people commemorating the 27th anniversary this week of the Challenger disaster.

    What gives?

    Anyways, RIP brave astronauts.

Oh, and let's not forget a Stern show whackpacker whitnessed the explosion:

I have ZERO memory of this happening. To be fair, I was living in a dorm smoking an ungodly amount of weed, but it's still news to me.

I'm asking because I'm watching a documentary on that crew.

They all videotaped each other as they bonded and camped out together and trained.

You can see their final moments on Earth here:

Know why there was only 1 black guy on the shuttle?

They didn't know it was going to burn up.

I remember the when the Shuttle blew up 27 years ago well. I was in 4 or 5th grade and my class was following the whole thing because there was a teacher going into space. My teacher wheeled in a shitty TV so we could watch the launch and needless to say that didn't go as planned.

The Israeli guy was an airforce pilot. He was part of the only attack on a nuclear reactor that ever have been done in history. The only reason why Iraq didn't get nuclear weapons.

(BTW. The world should thank US/Israel for stopping the arabs get nuclear weapons. Just a couple of years ago IDF raided the Syrian nuclear test site and demolished. They also hijacked a boat with nuclear material from North Korea.)
Sorry for my bad grammar. I am a non-English retard.

I was working as a service tech for a catv company when it happened. I remember going to the first call right after it happened. I grabbed my test TV set and brought it straight in and tell the customer about the shuttle as I set my set up to watch it live. The customer and I sat there for 30 mins watching it before I got around to fixing her problem.

I've heard a lot of reports from former NASA engineers that those things should have never flown, period. They're lucky only 2 blew up.
Can't believe it was milked for 30 years instead of working on something more advanced.
