other thing about Brett/Brent/Gay_dude is he is the biggest ass kisser on radio. Noticed how he compliments Joe Buck about his restaurant. Really? Is that what you would compliment him for? than saying that "he is my idol" - Really?

I believe the day before, he was again kissing that actress ass about being in Planet of Ape (WORST MOVIES ever made) and got it completely wrong and then tried to back paddle.


I rather have Artie doing the show ALONE.

hah its funny you say he looks like hes gonna take a dump when the cameras on him, he does make some weird faces. Watching him on directv he also looks like he's trying way to hard, I dont know how to explain it but like he's trying to do an impression of a good broadcaster, he makes those dumb faces and purposely alters his voice and makes these stupid hand gestures. At first I thought he was the lesser douche when it came to the other guys but now he's just as fucking annoying and I can't stand him, I agree artie should just do the show alone.

Not once since The Artie Lange show debuted a few weeks ago has Artie looked like he was high. And keep in mind I was one of the one's who said he looked high as hell in some of the December Shows as well as ones in October & November. But since he's had his own show, he has been clean and sober the entire time. And I truly hope it stays this way. I am really rooting for him.

i like the chris mannix guy. He flows better with artie, doesn't constantly kiss artie's ass, and challenges him....

I thought the same thing. Compared to the few weeks prior to the switch, it's like night and day. It's obviously early on and he could call in "sick" all next week, but he definitely looks a lot better. I wonder if the extra responsibility has something to do with it. Before, he had Nick there, and Artie could slack off if he wanted to -- kind of like the situation with Stern. But now, the whole show rides on him being there. Also, I think he gets bored easily and when he doesn't like the way the show is going (like with Nick), he half checks out. Now that he's in control, I think he's more into the job.

All in all, the shows been great since the switch and getting better every day. The New Orleans shows started off a little shaky, but I thought ended up great. Also, it was funny seeing Mike Gange there talking shit about the Stern staff to Artie. I wonder when, if ever, Howard will comment on Artie's show.

Interesting the comments on Artie's sobriety here. I take Artie at his word, and I know how that has panned out over the years.

But I do find hope in the couple posts here, from what sounds like people who know something about addiction, that Artie appears sober.

Did anyone catch the comment artie made busting brents balls when he was making a crack about the NFL and players and said something like "yeah yeah brent we know you represent the NFL and everything and can't speak on this, and Im the only one with big enough balls to bite the hand that feeds me". I think that was his way of calling brent a kiss ass little pussy, it definitely made me laugh and i think he was being a little bit serious and not just making an innocent joke. I think if there was any chance stover was gonna be considered as a permanent host (i doubt there was anyway) thats all changed since he kept his mouth shut like a little bitch and sat out through all those "controversial" segements. I get he has to watch what he says but he could lighten up a bit and have some fun, if artie has any say in who they hire on it definitely wont be brent IMO

Artie made a joke about it at the start of one of the shows and Dan jumped in when Pasty tits said he liked uptown girl. Yea, I think after an entire week, they don't want to put up with him. Hopefully we'll see someone else trying out next week.

I gotta say, this last week of shows were way better than last years' pre-Super Bowl week of shows. Only one or two technical glitches (one of which was during the musical guest so WGAS), better studio, better guests, better vibe. Remember last year when every caller had that ridiculous echo and you couldn't hear shit? That being said, why did they tweet the address of the studio in NO and tell people to go hang out there? They should have set it up somehow so that there could have been more fan interaction. No one showed up anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter. Also, the couple of weeks before they went to New Orleans he was telling everyone that the studio was going to be somewhere in the French Quarter. I don't know anything about NO, but on a map it looks like they were out in the fucking boonies. That probably has something to do with why no one showed up to hang out. Good thing they didn't since they'd be bored as hell.
