Sirius "Making Changes"

I thought Howard decided to make his staff Sirius employees so they could get better health insurance (or more truthfully, he didn't want to have to pay for it out of his pocket when Obamacare kicked in and he would be forced to provide healthcare to the entire staff).

Expect there will be a lot of cuts in the February 5th meeting or shortly after, but I doubt we will see much of it in terms of on air talent.

It would be interesting if this were true. What a f---ing hypocrite if it is true.

President Malone could stick to the wigged bandit and make him stare at (dismal) ratings a couple of times a year.
Stern is never retiring. He is already thinking about his next marble heist. It would be disastrous to Howards future if his radio audience was only a well documented few hundred thousand per live show.

He does. I listen to the All Out Show on the way home. Actually, I flip between a lot of channels, but I often put on Shade 45 to listen to Jude and Lord Sear. Tonight is Feel Good Friday where you call in and tell them what you're happy about. Ya dig?

The guys said no no no (since Howard's show is the best ) and asked "then what is your second favorite show on the channels?" and the caller said"re-runs of old classic Stern shows when the show was funny"

You're right. Even though the contract cannot force him to work longer hours, there has got to be some language in there about the programming, how much can be re-runs, how much must be original programming, etc.......It would be hard to quantify the "quality" of the show, but Malone could perhaps enforce portions of the contract that Mel was not enforcing.

Howard did make an impact on Sirius, but his impact is grossly overrated. If you look at the churn in subscriptions, you are still seeing the biggest impact is automobile manufacturers who offer 6-12 months free subscriptions when you purchase a car with Sirius in them.

JD won't get cut. He is getting paid peanuts. You will see more of a mid level cut and guys on the low end who don't have as much impact on the show and we have never heard of.

Exactly. Even with Stern Sirius never overtook XM. The reason why XM went under was they had way more bloated contracts.

My parents have Sirius and love it. The only reason they have it is because it was already installed in the new car and they love the 50s channel
