Sirius "Making Changes"

Here's a little proof about all of these "changes" that the Stern staff is worried about with Malone taking over.

When Rosie left Sirius, they gave her sidekick, Jeanette, her own show. I'd listen to her when I (often) changed the channel to get away from whatever Howard was talking about. She's a quirky, older lady, kind of like Lynn Samuels was - a little annoying, but endearing, and she talked about some off-the-wall things that interested me.

Today, she said they "shitcanned" her yesterday and told her that her last show will be February 15. She mentioned that there are "a lot of changes going on at Sirius".

It caught me off-guard, but I guess they really are going to clean house. Hence, Howard's sudden frenzy of fake meetings and concern about the quality of the show.

Bubba The Love Sponge says he's in talks with Sirius and things are actually looking good.
Maybe Malone is actually going to hire radio talent for his radio company.

The only 2 employees of Sirius are Howard and Gary. Sabean is irrelevant. Your or I could do what he's done the past 7 years.

Don't be shocked on February 5, when it's going to be the same as February 4'th.

I just don't see it happening.

I just wonder if there are more grumblings on other channels that we don't know about and how far it's going to go. I heard her this morning by accident, but she was not pleased. She got drunk last night, showed up hung-over today and said she hadn't prepared anything for the show. She told people to just call in and she didn't care what they wanted to talk about.

It's never a good idea to fire someone and keep him/her on the air for two weeks.

Howard needs Sirius way more then Sirius needs Howard. He'll be grabbing his ankles telling Sirius to do what they please just to stay on the air. I think some people might leave, but nothing significant.

You know that he has "ears" everywhere (or so he says), so he's known about these changes coming. It sounds like they're starting small and clearing out the riff-raff, but who knows how far it will go? It obviously panicked him enough to pretend he's putting some effort into his job.

aren't they all paid out of the show's budget? i.e., Howard pays them?

if anything, i think Sirius will take away their excessive office space, then THAT will lead to personnel cutbacks. Which, in the end, means a shitty product for us, as usual, and more marbles for Wiggy.

I think this explains why Howard has brought up his limited budget a few times. He still thinks his channels deserve a blank check but whenever ownership changes, budgets are scrutinized.

it's a two fold fuck. he's turned total vanilla so he can have a career on NBC and he's taking away all the stuff that made the show great and doing the bare minimum cuz he thinks he's punishing Sirius. dumb fool. he's destroyed his legacy.
