A high school honors teacher accused of and charged with having sex with two students, aged 17, has been fired.

The Richland District 1 school board voted earlier this week to fire 34-year-old Kinsley Wentzky, of South Carolina, from her position as an English teacher at Dreher High School.

Wentzky was arrested earlier this month by police in Columbia and Forest Acres on charges of sexual battery with two 17-year-old male students.

Wentzky’s arrest warrant stated that both she and the alleged victim provided sworn statements about their illicit relationship.
The new allegations come on the heels of Wetnzky's previous arrest on Friday by Columbia police on a charge of sexual battery involving a different student.

According to the warrant in that case, the teacher, who has taught at Dreher high School for seven years, had several sexual encounters with the teen in his Columbia home in May 2011.

The alleged affair with the second student came to light when the parents of the victim called the school principal on December 27. On New Year's Day, the boy and the 34-year-old married teacher were interviewed by police.

According to the warrant in that case, the teacher, who has taught at Dreher high School for seven years, had several sexual encounters with the teen in his Columbia home in May 2011.
