Applebee’s fires waitress for exposing pastor’s ‘give God 10%’ no-tip receipt

A waitress says she was fired from her job at Applebee’s after posting a note from a pastor who refused to tip, writing that “I give God 10% Why do you get 18.”

Lots of places automatically add gratuity for assholes that want separate checks, which this douche probably did.

Hell yes they are going to choose an angry customer over someone who makes the customers angry. I don't know why she can't understand that policy. She left them no choice. However, that customer is both a douche for the note, and a douche for demanding people lose their jobs. But again, Applebees really wasn't left with a choice in this after the server and customer were ID'd.

When I was a pizza delivery guy, I'd dread seeing IS (Italian Sausage) on the ticket, because it meant I was delivering to a "Canadian" and I wasn't going to get a tip. I usually tip 20-25% . but the second they add on the gratuity they don't get shit extra. at least this place put it on the bill. bars around here get shady and won't bring an itemized bill unless you ask for it. after months at this one bar I found out I had been tipping 43% .

I consider myself a religious person - I am practicing Roman Catholic - and I don't believe that I am stupid. I align myself more with the Republicans than with the Democrats, and that doesn't make me stupid either. What this customer did was idiotic, but she doesn't represent "religion" or the "religious", she's just an asshole. There are asshole atheists and asshole Catholics and asshole Jews and asshole Buddhists. The world is full of assholes.

My second was a waitress at a very upscale riverfront restaurant in Memphis. She and all of the wait staff would tell you in a flat second that Blaecks don't tip........Sometimes tables of over a dozen and nada.........
